Sarah Fillier and Laura Stacey had two goals apiece for Canada, while Jamie Lee Rattray added a single.
Natalie Spooner chipped in with four assists, while captain Marie-Philip Poulin had three helpers.
Minnamari Tuominen scored the lone goal for Finland (0-2), which lost 5-2 to the Americans in its opener.
Canada outshot Finland 48-29.
Canada forward Melodie Daoust missed the game with an upper-body injury suffered in the tournament-opening win over Switzerland. She is listed as day-to-day.
The Canadians face the Russians in their next game on Sunday night at 11:10 p.m. ET.
