Mick Schumacher crashes in qualifying, won’t race in Saudi Arabia GP

Haas F1 Team driver Mick Schumacher crashed in the second qualifying session at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Saturday. The team later announced that Schumacher will not participate in Sunday’s race.

Haas won’t be tapping in a reserve driver and will only line up Kevin Magnussen’s car in Jiddah on Sunday. Magnussen will start in 10th position.

Schumacher heavily hit a concrete wall in turn 12 of the Jiddah circuit. Haas later confirmed that the German driver was conscious as he exited the car and was taken to the medical centre via helicopter.

Haas F1 Team added that Schumacher was physically fine and was taken to the medical centre for precautionary reasons.
