The Toronto Maple Leafs have added five more people to COVID-19 protocols, including goalie Jack Campbell and head coach Sheldon Keefe.
Defencemen T.J. Brodie and Travis Dermott, and assistant coach Spencer Carbery were also added Saturday.
The news comes hours after the postponement caused by COVID-19 cases amongst the Leafs of Saturday’s game against the Canucks and Sunday’s game against the Kraken. However, while five teams have been shut down until after the Christmas break, general manager Kyle Dubas told reporters that his team is not in that camp yet.
“I think everyone’s a little bit on edge and unsure what’s happening,” Dubas said.
Earlier in the week forwards Wayne Simmonds, Jason Spezza, John Tavares and Alexander Kerfoot were added to the protocol. The team has one game left before the Christmas break, when they host the St. Louis Blues on Dec. 23.
