Raptors have just four regulars for game in Cleveland vs. Cavaliers

The Toronto Raptors have added Khem Birch, Justin Champagnie, and Isaac Bonga to the NBA’s health and safety protocol, leaving the team with just four regulars for Sunday’s game in Cleveland against the Cavaliers.

The Raptors now have 10 players in protocols who have been ruled out for Sunday’s game. This includes Pascal Siakam, Gary Trent Jr., Fred VanVleet, Malachi Flynn, Precious Achiuwa, Scottie Barnes. OG Anunoby, Birch, Champagnie and Bonga.

Players available are Yuta Watanabe, Chris Boucher, Dalano Banton and Svi Mykhailiuk. Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy also reports that the team is traveling with a limited staff with the team playing their next game in Toronto.

The Raptors have also signed Juwan Morgan, DJ Wilson & Tremont Waters and also plan to add Nik Stauskas & Brandon Goodwin.

In order to play against the Cavaliers, the Raptors need to have an equal number of regular roster and replacement players available. Toronto is at the minimum of the four regular-roster players needed to play, so if one regular enters protocols on Sunday, the Raptors will not have enough players.

The Cavaliers, meanwhile, have at least seven players in protocols.
